Motherhood as a space holder
The art of holding space.

To me, motherhood goes far beyond raising a child.
It’s a way of being in the world.
A deep form of love that holds space for whatever is..
whether it’s a child, a pet, a loved one, or an experience within yourself.
Being a mother means holding space.
Not judging, not fixing, not rushing. Just being.. with whatever shows up.
Sadness, confusion, joy, stillness.
Just like Mother Earth carries us.. unconditionally, patiently, without judgment..
you carry yourself, and all those you love.
(Well... most days, anyway. 😉)
There are many ways to be a mother.
To your beloved animals, to the dreams you haven’t yet dared to speak, to the part of you that still feels afraid.
Motherhood is not something you do. It’s a space you are. A place where life is welcome.
What does motherhood mean to you?
Maybe you’re a mother to an idea, a garden, a piece of art, a daily ritual.
Maybe you’re a mother to yourself 💗 on the days when no one else can be.
I invite you to reflect on your own form of motherhood. What do you carry, with love?
Love, Mir
